We only really spent a day in Washington DC looking around and had a short stay with some friends Barro and Louise. The problem was that it was Memorial Day and all the roads where blocked off in the capital so there were no buses to get on. We arrived in Washingto to the sound of 550,000 Harley Davidsons cruising around the streets on parade and there was over a million people there to watch. It was hot. We had a look through the Air and Space Museum which was amazing. Over the capitol building and caught a cab to the Lincoln Memorial. From there we walked to the FDR Memorial and was buggered by the end. Was a great day to turn up and see although.
